I picked up delivery on a CZ-83 in .380 yesterday. Got a chance to shoot it this afternoon. It was awesome. I was key-holing shots at 30 feet. It functioned flawlessly with both the Winchester .95 grain Talon hollow points and the Winchester 95 grain FMJ. I bought the gun from Cole Distributing for $230 + $30 shipping. It was hand picked 99%. Top notch dealer and fast shipping. I had the gun next day after they had my money order. These little guns are everything that owners have posted about them and more. Only down side, I was expecting it to fit my Walther PP holster - trigger guard is too big.

I bought one NIB a couple of months ago...

Mine is the Glossy-Blue...I ordered a set of grips from Marschalgrips...they have a Red stain...really sets the little .380 off...

I haven't shot mine much, but I did find it to be a hoot to shoot...quite accurate...

PICS

Here's a couple of pics - I will try to get some better ones later. Not a lot of difference in the size between my PP and the CZ. Just enough on the trigger guard to make the holsters not interchangeable. There is a little size difference on grip width due to the double stack magazine, but extremely comfortable and pointable. Slight difference in weight because of the 13 shot .380 VS. 9 shot with the Walther .32. Recoil is mild due to weight/size. I see both getting carried a lot. The Walther will always fill a unique place in my collection. So will the CZ. Again I have been awed by my first trip to the range with the CZ. Got a feeling my wife may take dibs on it for HD.

they're essentially the same as the C&R eligible CZ-82 but for the finishes and the caliber. I've got two CZ-82's but admit to being tempted by the gloss blue CZ-83, or maybe even the nickel.

Like all CZ pistols they're definitely fine pieces.

I AM kinda' surprised to see you say "Not a lot of difference in the size between my PP and the CZ", PRM, because to me the difference between the CZ-82 and my PP's is substantial in every dimension. The CZ's are bigger. Better feel, too, and by all means more pleasant to shoot, but bigger.

OK, as far as size, maybe it is better said, it is not significant enough to be a major detractor between the two. The CZ is well within the parameters of a mid-size semi auto and easy for CC.

I really wanted a satin nickel version of the CZ, but the price difference in what I picked this one up at was a no-brainer. Pretty close to half the cost of a new nickel.

Anybody got any idea where you can find a good leather pancake style holster for one of these?

It's a funny thing but the OWB holster that I use for my Glock 19 fits a CZ-82 very well. It's not as snugly blocked but I'd bet that if I were to decide that I didn't need the holster for the Glock I could soak it and let it shrink onto a CZ-82/83 for a perfect fit. Even as it is it's usable but only if I don't drive or otherwise slouch down enough for the pistol to slide out.

Ya, the satin nickel...my only problem with the CZ usage is how they make the control levers black on a nickeled pistol. I'd probably want to get the bits and pieces nickeled to match.

I have a Don Hume 721 OT I bought for my Bersa .380...fits my CZ 83 perfectly...

NCGUNMAN - would please post pics of this holster and the CZ

Me and my mom have cz 82's. Both arrived in brand new shape, and I love the things to death. Accurate, reliable, great trigger, cheap ammo.
