Recently acquired a CZ-83 in .32, manufactured in the early 90's before the rollmark was changed on the slide. After the required shooting/adjusting the sights, it was time to learn how to field-strip and clean it. The tricky spring is the "slide stop retainer spring", easy to dislodge when you remove the trigger guard as it shares the same cross-pin that the retainer spring rides on. http://leolani.net/relics/cz82.html is a good tutorial/reference for this series of pistol, it took me three attempts to position the spring correctly so the trigger guard did not dislodge it again. The gun is wonderful to shoot, I did file the front sight as it was shooting 5" low to my point of aim. Nice size for conceal carry.

That spring was later modified to make it less prone to failure.

That's a better tutorial than I had years ago. Lots of parts to deal with. The biggest problem I had was the trigger bar/ sear reassembly. I recall the mag release assembly was full of metal shavings and gunk.

I recently got mine because of the .32 caliber, a little harder to find plus an original Czech holster. My mag release was a bit gritty, but I flushed it out with some brake cleaner product. Maybe I'll look for a couple spare retainer springs, just something I have to be careful with when taking apart in the future. Still a good shooting gun and accurate.
