You can't mention price, carried by such and such organization, 2nd strike capability, or magazine availability. Which one do you get?

Will be carried iwb in a good tuckable holster.

No question the Glock G19 is a fine, sem-compact 9MM. However, the CZ-75D PCR is the BEST hicap, semi-compact 9MM I have ever shot or carried. Its well proportioned, accurate, reliable and easily concealed. It is the pistol I carry the most over HK's, Sigs and Berettas that I also own. Not saying others don't get carried, but the PCR is the best over all of the lot.

Don't know about the glock, but I just bought a PCR that I have fallen in love with. Don't know if guns could get any better than this thing. Only thing I could think that would make it better is if I had a Kadet to go with it.:D

If the pie is apple, it would come in as my second choice..........

My PCR came with the worst trigger I have ever felt. Put in a Wolf 14# spring and 2000 dry fires later it is ALMOST acceptable.

Other than that, I love the gun.

The Glock is lighter. The CZ has more carry options (dbl action or cocked and locked, no?) I think the CZ is more ergonomic to my hand, other folks results may vary. I wouldn't feel naked carrying either. I'd probably take the CZ.

Both are fine weapons and since both would serve you well I think it comes down to a personal preference. Not to jump on the CZ bandwagon (I hate bandwagoneers), but I like the feel and the weight better of the CZ. I would love to own a Glock but I cannot because they simply do not fit my hand well and personally I think that is the most important factor in buying a gun. I curse (the curse part is a joke) Glock for not making a model that is more comfortable in my hand because they are an amazing feat of engineering.

On the other hand the CZ feels so natural that it truly feels like an extension of me. If I am not completely satisfied with all other aspects of the gun (I.E. the trigger which seems to be the biggest complaint against the CZ's), I can pay to have them corrected to my liking with the exception of the accuracy of the gun itself. I hear a lot of people say, "why would you buy a gun and then pay to have something done to it?" and I say, "why would you buy a house and paint the walls? or change the purple carpet?" it's because you want to alter it to fit your personal preference.

If you couldn't tell by now or didn't feel like reading the first two paragraphs, I voted for the CZ. Both are great, but that is my personal preference.

CZ for ergonomics. The PCR, P-01, and P-06 are decockers only. To get a safety on that size gun you need to chose the CZ Compact which is steel framed.

I'd suggest the thin aluminium grips by the custom shop too. Gives it the same width as a 1911 and it feels like single stack. In total size the pistol would resemble a Commander.

I am required to carry a G19 at work. Off duty it's CZ P01 and PCR, fit me far better, and shoot better for me.

although i like my CZ, the only thing worse than the single action trigger on mine is the double action on it, its...worse than a stock USP DA trigger pull, i am more comfortable with the G19

The last time i was at the range I was firing my CZ 75D compact (PCR plus rail), and my buddy had his new G19. I like the general feel and pointability of the CZ over the glock, but i wish i had thinner grips on it for my smaller hands.

I'm a bigtime Glock guy, I own, and have owned many, many Glock pistols, but my little PO1 is in my opinion the very best 9mm compact to be had, mine always outperforms my 17/19/26 and my Sig 226 at the 25yrd line, though the little G-26 is also extremely accurate for it's size...

cz's are thinner, better for IWB carry.

great guns too, reliable and accurate.

my cz75 is more accurate and reliable than glocks i've owned.

I don't like how Glocks feel in my hands ... I do like how CZs do.

That said, you don't have my hands so I can't really make a determination ... both are quality firearms.

So go to a gun shop that has both, fondle them for a while (and if they have a range and will let you rent both, so much the better).

Pick the one that feels best in your hand.

I own both...well I have a P-01 not a PCR but for this discussion it's close enough...and while both are excellent, I'd have to say that the CZ is one of the most balanced and natural feeling pistols I've ever held or fired of any caliber. Plus I like the decocker for carry.

I have both guns (the Glock much longer, 12 years now), and it is a tough choice, as I like them both. The PCR is one of the few DA/SA guns that I am accurate with in the DA mode or the transition.

I have both the Glock G19 and the CZ 75D PCR, my daily beater is the CZ PCR. The slide thickness of the PCR is way less because it rests inside the frame, fully supported. Loaded chamber indicator and Novak style sights are a plus, but the way it feels in your hand was the clincher. Wish the CZ came in a single stack model, or even the G19 with a single stack.

for me if it is between anything and the glock 19, then i will say the glock 19 everytime, unless of course you throw a sa xd in the mix, and that would be my first choice.

I've got a PCR and a 23, I like them both, but I REALLY like the PCR. It and the FNP-9M fit my hands better than any other gun I have held, and I'm not that picky about fit. I think I like the trigger on the Glocks better, especially once I swapped in a smoothfaced version and used a half-round file to make the safety bar a more pleasant shape and fit for the contour of the trigger.

    I voted PCR.

Eh, just slumming around a bit.

Thanks for the responses guys, just found a decent deal on a P01 (close enough) on Gunbroker, hopefully have it by Friday. :D

Having owned both, and also the CZ P01, I went with the G19. But it was not an easy decision to make. It came down to the fact that the PCR required more frequent maintenance to maintain reliable operation. It would refuse to go into battery in a fewer number of rounds fired than the Glock (predictably). We're not talking a huge amount here, but enough that I could tell the difference.

RE: CZ, I would probably go with the all steel version with safety if I had it to do over again, though.

Hello. While I own other CZ pistols and have yet to be disappointed in them, the "right" choice between these two for me is the Glock 19; I like its internal simplicity, light weight and support, not only from the manufacturer by aftermarket businesses as well. That said, CZ75/85-type pistols have proven themselves to be both accurate and reliable in my long-term experience with them. I continue to shoot some Pre-B CZ-75's that I bought in the mid-'80's. Ultimately, the "right" choice for you will be determined by you and in this particular instance with these two choices, I don't think you have to worry about making a "bad" one.

    Best and good luck.

I have a healthy respect for the G19 and would feel well armed carrying one. I just don't like Glock triggers. I would imagine that's a deal breaker for some others that have chosen the PCR over the G19.

The PCR would have been far thinner in the nose for IWB carry. The P01 is a great weapon, just dont care for railed carry guns.

    Congrats, on the exellent choice!
