CZ Rami

Pilot, . . . yes, the P938 is what I carry now, . . . .but I would give it up in a heartbeat if CZ made a slim Rami type pistol. I prefer the SA of the DA/SA, as you suggested. So until that happens [IF it happens], I'll have to be content with my Sig.
Of the current crop of single stack, sub compact 9MM's, I'd probably go with the P938 also, and yes I would like to see something in a single stack from CZ.

I am so wanting another RAMI right now.
Dang I miss that pistol.
Would go well with my CZ75B

I have been looking for a decocker Rami 9mm for a long time. I have not seen one in years. The metal one, not the friggin plastic one. What's up with that?

The RAMi BD is still listed, but CZ pistol availability is hit and miss - they go out the door when they get flown in, barely touching the warehouse shelves...

How does one get a Rami? None at the LGS, none on my favorite gun brokerage site.

Is there a waiting list or something?

IMO, if you haven't fired, or at least handled, a 75 D PCR or a P-01 you should do so before buying a RAMI. They are all great guns, but the PCR is an awesome gun, as is the P-01 if you want a rail.

The 75D PCR is my most carried firearm. I would like to try a RAMI someday also. However, the PCR is a compact pistol that shoots like my full size 75B. It would be hard to beat that.

I've only handled the RAMI a couple of times but I prefer the PCR or P-01 because they do feel like the full size 75 family of guns, which is just about perfect to my hands. I do like adding the little rubber mag base to the PCR mag to make the grip essentially full size and therefore more comfortable for the pinky.

Not looking to hijack this thread, but I can't let comments like this pass by without stepping in. I see lots of people snubbing the likes of the new Sig P225-A1 because it only holds 8 rounds. Yet, it's a single stack that people seem to really like in their hands. So, is it the Sig that people don't like? Are the Glock fans (not casting aspersions here...) really trying to dissuade people from a slim single stack? I just don't get it.

Yes, I am a Sig fan (mainly because I prefer DA/SA). But I've read great things about the CZ Rami and would love to try one. I'm old fashioned - I tuck in my shirttail. Makes carrying more difficult. Slim is good to me. May have to go pocket mouse. No double stack will work for that.

Why are there so many people who want a single stack or, more importantly, why are there so many who dis those who want a single stack? I'd appreciate your comments. Again I apologize if this is hijacking the OP.

I think the issue with the 225 is that it's almost as thick as its double stack brethren.
I'm not knocking it, as I like them, but I wouldn't call them svelt.
It's only 0.15" thinner than a CZ 75. Not a big savings in thickness.

Holy resurrected thread, Batman! :)
Since I last posted on this my wife was able to acquire a RAMI BD model, her Black Diamond. I have shot this one and was able to easily hit a 3/4 scale IDPA torso at 50 yards with it, slow fire standing. I cannot shoot any RAMI very well with the stubby ten round mag, with with the 14 round mag, sleeved, it works like a champ.

Not a target pistol by any means, and I am certainly not the worlds greatest shot, but I'd think it's a pretty slick little gun.

I agree. Back in 2000 when Sig discontinued the venerable P225, my LGS was blowing them out at a discount. I compared it side by side to the CZ-75D PCR which wasn't nearly as well known back then. They were essentially the same price, and I chose the CZ because I liked how it felt in my hand, it held six more rounds, and it was about the same width at the P225. Nothing against Sigs, they are great pistols.
