For some reason, I got through to Mike@CZ while the Mgr. at the local Gunshop didn't...anyway, I got the warranty authorization # and the CZ 75B is on its way to Kansas City. The only "odd" thing: the CZ gunsmith said he didn't think that three broken slidestops in six months was way out of the ordinary???

Well, I dusted off the good ol' S&W Mod. 10 and took it to the range today...I quickly realized how addicted I am to Semiautos:what: .....nothing against wheelguns, it's just very different.

Bad metallurgy? Bad jig (for drilling and milling hole for slidestop and increases pounding absorbed by it)? Locking lugs not mating w/bbl & slide? I'd love to hear what CZ USA has to say about the breakage.

Hello. Surely, this is a bad batch of slide lock levers or something similar. I've seen quite a few CZ 75Bs that have been shot lots with no problems and my early 80s pre-B 75s are still going strong on their original parts. Let's hope the problem's quickly rectified.

Best.

I agree with Mr. Camp. I have Cee-Zeds that are perking right
along..15 years of use.

You might be hearing more of CZ problems, as there are a lot
of CZs being bought.

The return rate on CZs is less than 1%. No recalls or other
problems , unlike some guns i know of.

Hope that MIKE can rectify your problem child. Then you can
be a part of the CZF Family.

Should you get the option of Another gun. Don't pass up
the CZ75SA. A few bucks more, but i think 3 x the gun.

Tropical Z, I have a cz75b and I had an arcus. Arcus was good but the cz is better. More accurate and better quality in my opinion. Mark

Thanks for concern!

I appreciate the well-wishers! To someone who does not really know me, I have to earn credibility.
All I can say is, I am a guy who does not look for trouble any ...especially with things of a mechanical nature! I don't doubt for a second that many -- even, most -- CZs are trouble-free pistols. Unfortunately, I have had two that are problematic. I am thrilled to get through one session of 100-200 rounds without a jam. And, of course, three broken slidestops. The Gundealer has seen each of the broken slidestops. He knows I "baby" my handguns. Bad luck? A bad run of sub-par machining? Beats the heck out of me! I just hope it is resolved this time.

I still find the nature of your problem quite confusing....Mr. Camp could be correct in the bad slide stop area...Im very curious to find what is the problem. Mike is usually on the ball when it comes to his .....work! :D He had never heard of my Compacts problem and from what I know from the CZForum...its the only gun to suffer from its specific dilema...oh well. They are good guns none the less.
Shoot well
