I don't own a CZ Upper, but they usually do function fine. I have a friend who has a defective one, that regularly doesn't lock into battery (but will still fire) that needs chamber work, but his seems to be more of a fluke than a regularity. .22LR AR's are fun to shoot- I have a drop in conversion for mine. Depending on what's on the market, you could probably put together a 5.56 AR and buy a drop in unit and effectively have a have 2 guns for the price of one- though a dedicated upper has more accuracy potential.

sorry...sounds a bit high! I put together a model 1 sales and Mega machine lower AR15 for $585 Total then added a Ciener kit for $185 = $770.00 I can shoot .22 all day long with the Ciener kit and then go back to 5.56/.223 in less than 30 seconds.
2 guns in one for less than the dedicated .22 in question. Granted the Ciener kit does not lend itself to extreme accuracy!! Hope I helped you!

    I have a cz v22.

it is finiky. if its clean and using ammo it likes, itll run all day. if its dirty or using low powered ammo, itll jam at least once a magazine. you also have to use reduced power hammer springs to help the bolt cycle correctly. this in turn can lead to light primer strikes occasionally. my BDM mags only work with around 20 rounds in them. any more and it jams.

it is however accurate as ****. If I do my part I get dime sized groups with all 20 rds at over 25 yds with mine. I also only paid 200$ for mine.

overall I am glad I bought it, especially at the price. looking back I would have paid more for it, but not the ~500$ you are looking at.
