    Both are nice, but I also prefer the top grips.

    Both are nice. I would go for the top on even number days and the bottom on odd

    The grips shown in the top photo look like the work of a guy on the 1911 forum (dan wesson section) who goes by the name "sarge". He is also a member here at THL but by a different name...can't recall it off hand. He uses all sorts of exotic woods and does nice work.

    I like both of the grips, however, if forced to pick one set then I would have to go with the second set of grips!
