Daschle

It's official now, Daschle lost. A Bush win, Republican gains in the House and Senate. And Dachle kicked out of the Senate as an extra bonus. It doesn't get much better than tonight.

Ohhhhh yeah BABY!

We win :). Bigtime. God, this is a STOMPING. Brutality bonus!

Know what this means? The DC gun ban is toast. Hell, shall-issue CCW in DC isn't beyond the realm of possible next year.

Whoa, guys! Bush has been handicapped in the Senate. Until now! Wanna see some gun bans full-on rolled back?

Oh hell yes. HELL! YES!

Dayum. We rock!

But what about next time??

This night looks damn good to me.

But what of a country that comes so close to kicking its leader out in the midst of a war that is so important for the future of liberty?? Can we be long for this world as a nation enjoying what we have left of individual rights.

They'll be back.

Bush ain't perfect, but he might get more perfect if he has a working majority in both houses.

What is going on in Ohio? Can we let our breath out now??

Currently in Ohio, Bush is leading by about 145,000 votes. There are 150,000 outstanding provisional ballots. Somehow, Kerry/Edwards seem to think all those provisional votes will go their way, and so Kerry has vowed to "keep fighting".

In order for Kerry to win Ohio, he must get more than 147,500 of those provisional votes. Who really thinks Bush couldn't get 2500 of the provisional votes? Any takers?

-- CNN projects Senate Democrat leader Tom Daschle will lose his South Dakota seat to John Thune.

Lots of promising news this morning on the Congressional front.

Jim March,

I'm cautiously optimistic and I hope that you are right. However, unless the Republicans support us in this next 4 years I doubt that gun owners will get behind them in 2008. It was tough enough this time around.

The Senate, House and President (should he win) owe us their support for National CCW, permanent legislation against AWB, protection for shooting ranges.

Alright guys, let's get to work!

Count me out on national CCW and legislation that preempts an otherwise proper reading of the Constitution by the Supreme Court. We either have a Bill of Rights or a Bill of Regulated Privileges.

What? We're going to show disappointment by voting Hillary for Prez?

I doubt it. Or at least, I hope not. That would be way-too-sour grapes.

Regards.

I'm thankful my contribution to John Thune made it possible for him to defeat the obstructionist whiner incumbent. :D

Now, with the flush of victory fresh, we must remind the GOP congress critters that they were bought and paid for in the true American tradition. Memories are long, and they better treat RKBA concerns like the conservatives they claimed to be. :scrutiny:

Since Tommy the Commy got the boot, maybe there IS hope for the USA. . .

While quite right IMO, we have to be clear about having realistic alternatives. The guy who said "who are they going to vote for, the Democrat?" knew what he was talking about, despite the quote seeming hateful at face value.

Count me out on national CCW
Count me out, too. Once you make it a national issue, California/Massachusetts/New Jersey/etc. get to weigh in VERY heavily on who's qualified to get a permit, how/where you can carry, what you can carry, registration requirements, training requirements, insurance requirements, and a whole host of other crap that could put CCW permits out of the reach of most of us.

I think fighting this on a state-by-state basis is the best for our side.

Hey, it is a great day....here in Missouri we get Matt Blunt...one of the good guys....it has been like 84 yrs since the Republicans have ruled both the governors chair, and the house and senate....the bad news is that we are sending a corrupt pastor by the name of emanuel cleaver to the senate...he is bad news....liberal damn thief......

glad to see tommy the commie get his butt kicked....

We must maintain viligence though as I saw old chuckie schumer got reelected

Amen! Our elected misrepresentatives have an old tradition of completely forgetting who brought them to the dance.

Good riddance, Daschle!

hardly wait for ......

....coffee break.

6 of the 9 old phartz who meet for coffee every day at ten thirty are bush-bashing fools, most of which were college profs. I was a prof too, but somehow retained my mental ability through it all. I can't wait for the perk-er to finish perking.

I didn't vote for chuckie baby, but he got back in anyway. I'll bet Hitlary is whooping it up this morning.

Good points all....I hadn't considered that aspect of the argument. OK...so...let's just go for CCW in Maryland so that I can be a citizen of the USA once again:evil:

Democrat Doorknob Dashole Dumped Decisively

THANK YOU SOUTH DAKOTA!!! This is a dream come true! The little snot nosed punk of the prairie goes down hard for his obstructionism and all around moronic world view. Not a good fit here in the heart of the Midwest.

GOOD BYE TOMMY! I never liked you.
