As I run across information on the qualifications test required by various States, I cut and paste it into a Word document in hopes of getting a list of what is required to obtain a concealed carry permit in a variety of States. Of course all have LE requirements, but CCW test can run from difficult to "stupid easy", to no shooting required at all.
Is anyone aware of any database where one could find an aggregate of State requirements? I know I could get most of it from State Government websites, by I have neither the time, bandwidth, or computer savvy to mine all that information.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think the NRA already has a little book compiled with that data.

PA has no shooting requirement when it comes to getting a license to carry firearms.

Apply, pass the background check right then and there, (although the law gives the issuing authority 45 days to issue) and you walk out with your license.

Alabama

Price is set by Sheriff but capped by the State ($5-20 a Year). Permit is good for 1 or 5 years.

1. Go to Sheriff's Office.
2. Fill out a form very similar to a 4473.
3. They run NICS.
4. Pay for 1 or 5 year permit.
5. They take your picture and hand you the permit.

Takes about 5 minutes.

I believe the overall permit rate is around 23% of adults. I believe one county has around 70% of adult males with permits so I'm guessing they have around 44% of adults with permits if the male/female average holds. I know a couple of Sheriff's had lowered their permits to $5 a year and have set a goal of exceeding 50% of adults permitted.
