It is announced tonight from The Netherlands that Prince Bernhard has died.
He was the founder of the World Wildlife Fund and one of the few prominent Europeans who spoke up for hunting as a sport.

A Dutch acquaintance tells me that he was also known for his keen wit and sense of humor. He was born in 1911, and was the stepfather of the present monarch, Queen Beatrix.

Sympathy is expressed to the Dutch people, and to all hunters, who have lost a good friend.
