I am trimming 38 special cases, saami says 1.155 inches oal my lee is cutting 1.142. I am ok with this because it's only 1000 cases I am doing this too. This is match ammo and I want every controllable variable to be controlled.

After I trim I have a nice bur on the case I am trying to figure out a solution to this.

I have thought of taking a 19mm socket and filling it with scotch Brite pads and spinning on a battery operated impact.

Does anyone have a better solution?

That is exactly what I have done, after first using a chamfer tool, like on bottle necked cases.
The chamfer tool takes the burr off, then I polish the edge.
Using steel wool will work better as it doesn’t melt with heat. And it stays sharp, so one can get a good spot in the socket and not have to keep readjusting it.

I use a file (not coarse) while the case is still chucked on an electric drill. After I used the chamfer tool on the inside and outside.

I think I'm missing something. What is wrong with using a deburring tool? Just don't have one on hand?

I have multiple styles of debur tools at my disposal, I am looking for ways to make this as fast as possible.

I got one of these: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/101288634?pid=979270

The old version in the hard case, not the newer version in the soft case - but I kind of like that case!

My wife gets a giggle out of my case-prep routine. She refers to it as playing with my brass. Each one gets loving attention. :)

If you're in a hurry, buy factory ammo. Reloading is about getting it RIGHT every time, no screw ups, no shortcuts. One wrong step can mean a trip to the emergency room.

I'm not assembling match ammo but for the important rifle rounds I'll trim, chamfer/debur and finish with 0000 steel wool for baby-butt smooth.
