After both hands and arms had wore out from the twisting common sense kicked both out of the way and had it's say. It told me to consider my age and certain physical problems like shakey hands that medication can no longer completely control. It also brought up the fact that I have a bunch of guns I seldom shoot that will equal or outdo the Canik for what I would use it for so no new pistols for me.

That new gun urge is still hard to tamp down for me. Just because I am doing it this time but that doesn't mean I will never fall prey to it again.

I recently had to give myself a talking to.
A guy offered to sell me a S&W model 66 4” that was in very good shape. I told him I couldn’t afford it. He said he’d take a gun in trade and told me to let him know what I might be interested in trading.
Long story short I offered up 2 guns and told him to pick one or the other.
He didn’t get back to me right away and I’m glad, because once he did I told him I wasn’t really interested after all. Had he responded quickly I may have made a mistake and dumped a gun that I really do still like.

Sometimes you just need a little time to see the light.

I'm bad about chewing on the purchase of anything except groceries for awhile before buying. Sometimes I give in and sometimes I don't. I wish my wife would do the same.

Similar here.
Got everything I need, a few I don't. Last gun purchase was in 2022.
I've been busy starting a church band, gun budget went to my guitar collection.
Retiring again in February and the new budget is sans gun purchases.
Might do some tricks to my SR9c (yeah, I love it that much), but otherwise I'm standing pat with my firearms.

Still like hanging out with you guys, though.

Have a passing interest in the new S&W Bodyguard 2.0 but it's still too new for me to make a decision on getting one at this time.
