Your leaving a theater at midnight with your wife and you've parked in the south fourty. When you get to your car you're confronted by two men, one has a G-17 at low ready and the other has a Remington 870 which he jacks a round into.
They demand my car keys and wallet with credit cards. I told them I didn't do credit cards and there was no money in wallet but they could have $200 I had in my pocket.
Would you use your CCW or just comply and let them drive away. How about some serious thinking on this one.

IMHO, I would give them the keys and wallet. If they demand anything more or look like they are going to shoot anyway, the fun begins...

Where am I? Where are they? Is the wife armed? Where am I carrying?

If it were me, (besides seeing an earlier flick) I'd have my .38 in my coat pocket, hand snugly wrapped around the grip.

At the first sign of hostility I can easily draw my firearm, or if necessary, shoot right from my coat pocket.

Given the vague parameters of the OP, I'm imagining a CQ type situation something like this:

BG: Give me money!
Me: BANG BANG! through the coat, handgun guy's down unless shotgun guy's more available.
At this point, I'd imagine the remaining BG will either haul #&! or attempt to take me down. Here's where getting off the "X" comes in followed by 2 more to (hopefully) de escalate the situation, probably from the coat pocket again if there's no time to draw.

Throughout the confrontation, I'll be putting as much distance as possible between us and them, pushing the wife backward if necessary by force.

Of course, all of this wouldn't happen if said G17 or 870 were moved from low ready to pointed at me in the OP. Can't outdraw that; compliance may be the way to go in that situation.

I'm of the thinking, that these things can't be planned for. It all comes down to the individual circumstances. Body language, positioning, perceived actual intent, etc.

hope you got that $200 ready...

depending on where you are in relation to the car (cover) and the distance of the gunmen would greatly affect my decision. if i have no cover and they're closer than 8-10 yards i would feel too outgunned to make anykind of action against an alllready drawn pistol and a shotgun.

if they were farther away i would move around the car for cover while drawing and push my wife to the ground. i would go at the shotgun first with double taps unless the gunman with the pistol was closer/flanking. i would continue transitioning between targets untill they fled or were stopped.

thats about the best i can do with the details given.

If you did everything perfectly then maybe, just maybe, you'd be able to take them down. Make one tiny mistake and you and your wife are dead or at least shot up. A couple of senseless and meaningless deaths. Getting yourself killed is one thing, getting someone else killed is an entirely different matter.

Give 'em the damned money and keys. This aint the movies. Live to see another day.

The shift from 'imaginary scenario' language to 'this happened to me' language here is boggling. OP, if you want to sort this out, PM me. Otherwise this one is WAY too confusing to let run as is.
