The assault rifles turn me off. I would not have one.

My battery includes the M70 I bought new in 1957. It's a Varmint model. I wore out the 243 bbl and replaced it with an old M70 220 Swift bbl.

Here is a gun with class!

I have a little of everything rifle-wise. I'm pretty new to the AR world but I like it. However, I almost always turn to my single-shots to hunt with.

Traditional for me too.

This is a Ford versus Chevy discussion, if ever there was one.

Makes no difference to me. Both vehicles will take me from Point A to Point B, and neither one will do it better. If I had to pick, I'd say Traditional, because they tend to get better mileage.

I'd say tradition or modern based on what your training and experience has made safe handling and accurate firing instinctive to you. For me it would be my Marlin 336. For a younger generation--especially family and friends trained and drilled in handling the AR platform in the military--that would be the modern sporting rifle and requiring them to use an unfamiliar platform would be contrary to my gun safety rule--use what you're most familiar with and can handle instinctively.

100% traditional and 90% of that is with traditional muzzleloaders. The balanced comprised of traditional leverguns with the odd boltgun thrown in every once in a while. This is as modern as it gets:
