Defender refinish

i got this Defender from a guy i did a job for and he had no money so i took the gun for payment.....it shoots and runs great but the finish is in pretty poor shape with "idiot mark" came with it.....the question is if i sent it to Colt would it come back just as nice as new finish wise?....never have sent anything to colt for refinish...or would you'all suggest someone else?.....

it appears to be stainless steel, if the scratches aren't too deep perhaps you could get it professionally bead blasted and polished...
