Del-Ton AR kit options - which ones?

I was looking at the M4, and decided against it after looking more into the Mid-length. The mid-length has to me what seems like a more 'natural' fore-end length to it compared to the M4 types. Plus, the heavy barrel seems like a nice extra plus to have.

But...:

what are the advantages of two-stage triggers, M4 Feed ramps, and getting the bolt carrier chromed? Some of these features seem obvious, but are they worth the extra money?

right now, I'm just getting the barrel chrome-lined, the YHM 4-rail FFT, and a detachable handle for a flat-top upper model (T-marks right now)

A two-stage trigger will give you a more consistent pull and allow for better on-target results. M4 feed ramps improve reliability in a carbine-length gas system during rapid fire and would not be needed in a mid-length or rifle-length gas system. A chromed bolt carrier makes cleaning easier and reduces friction.

If you're getting a mid-length I wouldn't worry about the m4 ramps. A chrome bolt carrier isn't really worth the extra money (in my opinion) unless you're going to get a match bolt carrier group. A two stage trigger would be a nice noticeable difference, but not necessary to have an accurate rifle.

My advice:

If you're putting together a del-ton kit don't waste your money on those high-end extras. Get the basics and enjoy your rifle. If you want high-end features, buy high end parts (LMT, Noveske, BCM, etc...). A del-ton rifle is appealing for its low price tag, you don't need any of those extras to make it function.

Bought an LMT lower with 2 stage. Great trigger. Added a Del Ton mid length flat top with a Yankee Hill flip down FS mounted on the gas block. added a Yankee Hill flip down rear and an E-otech in between. Best damn AR I ever owned, sold my other 2. Veery accurate.

I have a basic delton midlength build. I have the detachable carry handle, a2 stock and a chrome barrel. The rifle runs great, no issues with ammo either brass or steel case. Ditto. For a basic gun, you just need standard parts. Besides, it will still have a better trigger than most military M4s. The midlength handguards are a great choice, too. They look correctly proportioned to a 16" barrel.

I say skip the carry handle. iron sights can be had for FAR cheaper, and the conventional wisdom says you will add an optic anyway.

can you give me some good examples of alternate sights other than the carry handle? I always liked the profile with the carry handle, but if there are some good removable rear sights out there that I can use until I get a red dot, or can even use with a red dot, please post them up. I'd be interested in that. The ones I saw on Del-ton's sight, and elsewhere, where more or less the same price after shipping, if not more expensive than the handle.
