I hope this worry is for nothing. I've been a member here since 2006. I learned a lot and it's been good to know all of you.
Is there anything we members can do to help?

Cloudfare is our host? And let me guess who owns them.......The up is 104.26.5.170, but cloudflare doesn't allow direct ip access. Not sure of any workarounds. Sorry
As long as its not an Eye Fone.Sounds like a good time for someone to bring back an old dial-up message board and use a cell phone as a dial up modem to get passed long distance calling fees.
Done. You will have to register. Tell your friends. Let's get information out while we can.
Arfcom has been pulled down and many sites are just waiting for the lights to go out.
We're excited to announce that CloudFlare has just been named a Google Cloud Platform Technology Partner.Apr 13, 2015Cloudfare is our host? And let me guess who owns them.......
I wouldn't worry much, great thing about the THR is the mods are strict about keeping political posts out of the forum unlike some other forums like the one mentioned in this thread that has some members posting some very wondering things and any posts not on same page is met with hostility, which is why I never joined that one.I hope this worry is for nothing.

Oh, I thought you were going to say the Merovingian, but ya, G00gle bad too. We're excited to announce that CloudFlare has just been named a Google Cloud Platform Technology Partner.Apr 13, 2015
A very serious question as I’m not a computer guy.... Is the information on here archived somewhere? There’s no other forum that has the knowledge this site has.
Yes, Derek is working to back up everything if they come for us. THR was always designed to have a narrow focus, that is why Derek started the other site.
Ok. And I don’t necessarily disagree. But how do we know “they” don’t already have it all also? How much information is contained on THR? A terabyte maybe? That’s a laptop worth today. Small potatoes for a big tech company to take. Is it even taking? Not like DOJ would prosecute anyways. Not so sure that is even a good idea. A lot of people have posted a lot of stuff describing guns they own and their thoughts on many subjects. This might be a good time to just scrub the site clean (if that is even possible), and start over from scratch. Or at least decouple user accounts from email addresses and PID.
They're emboldened now. Twitter did it to the President of the United States, everyone else is small fish.
It is private owned companies that are sanitizing their sites or banning people, it isn't the government doing it (yet), Most people agree that private companies can do what they want in far as terms of service right? If we can't talk about guns what's the point of even having this site? The thing is on that AR site there are members who post inflamatory things and any attempt to disagree with them in a civil manner is met with hostile response so no surprise to me that they were targeted, I'm so glad the THR isn't that way.Not so sure that is even a good idea. I'd rather not think of President Trump as a gay wedding cake
