There have been copies of the WWI German extension magazine made and they can be found from time to time. Like the Springfield extension of the same era, it replaces the magazine floorplate. Google might turn up a source.

But a magazine that can be inserted into the standard magazine well, I know of no such animule, though a custom gunsmith could probably gin something up if you don't mind spending a lot of money.

Only 3 rounds? $35? 8 or 10 rounds would be worth it...

Part of the problem is the feed rails.

On a Mauser 98 they are machined in as part the receiver rails and the magazine box is open at the top.
An extended mag would have no way to keep the cartridges in it when it was removed.

On a 700 Rem, the feed lips are bent into the magazine box itself, so a magazine box can be any length you want it to be.
