Did you give someone a gun, membership to gun activist org. or anything? Pass the responsibility to a new generation?

I gave a Buckmark .22 to my nephews 10 and 6 under the supervision of their dad. Threw 4 boxes of Colibri in the stocking so they would know what was up. Now to get out and shoot with them. They also have several .22 rifles at their disposal, I guess the next convert will be my little sister.

Actually the Browning had been mine and I thought to sell it once my Marvel conversion proved itself. This idea seemed much better tome, this way the gun stays in the family and it has a little history for them. May be just the thing to encourage responsible behavior too. I think an NRA membership would be a good gift too, they would get the magazines every month and be over the first step of doing something.

My daughter is almost 16 and has already asked when she can get her carry permit (age 21 in Alaska). She's passed the hunter education test and has her card.

NRA membership is (always) a good idea...I gotta work on that.

I let her shoot anything I own, but I can't wait for her to find something on her own that I can buy for her as a first-gun surprise!
