Dixie National Forest / Duck Creek, Utah / Zion - Shooting OK?

Hello all, I'll be visiting the Duck Creek area in Utah, a couple of times this year. I believe it is completely inside the Dixie National Forest. I have done a little internet research, and it looks like shooting sports are ok as long as you follow a few normal rules. I plan to call Dixie forest service and ask a few questions, but thought I'd check to see if anybody here had any info to share.

I'm looking for some validation on the rules from someone who's been up there, lives nearby, etc. Also, any advice on some local shooting ranges around that area or any other tips would be great!

I grew up down there, and yes, you're right. Duck Creek isn't a national park. Normal shooting shouldn't be a problem, but the only part I know of it is off the highway where all the cabins are.

If it was me, I'd make a call to the regional BLM office and just ask if there are any peculiar shooting/hunting restrictions in that particular area.

I thought Duck Creek was an Indian Reservation.
