Why would you leave a gun in the car for a car jacker? :D

Keep the AR...I mean what did you expect the answer to be in Rifle Country. Don't get me wrong I understand why you came here, folks in the pistol forum might tell you to do something stupid...like jump off a bridge...or trade a rifle for a pistol. :neener:

the only time you sell an AR is when you either:
-already have one or more additional ARs
-are selling it for money towards another AR

keep it. It is worth way more than a glock plus whatever cash you'll get with it.

Glocks are only $500 anyway; some can be found for a bit over $400 used. I'd just save up for the handgun.

Does a fish need water?

Although i have to warn you, I recently got my first AR and have found that it is almost irresistible to purchase/shop for new toys to put on it. i sometimes have to add up how much $$ everything i want would cost just to make sure i dont try to build my "perfect" AR

I started it in general discussions and it was moved here. I didn't expect that. So I ended up trading and I am going to start my next build. It seems that alot of people missed the fact that I have a stripped lower. I ordered and LPK and stock last night. I am currently saving for and upper unless I go completely frankengun and build it too. So thanks for the input.

Thanks Mav. I'll kepp you guys updated. With the money I received in the trade I also bought a new ground blind and couple treestands for bowseason and got myself a set of Americas Best strings and cables for my bow. Otherwise I was pretty close to the amount needed for the new upper. Oh well i will get priorities straight one day.

Even a partial trade of a rifle for a handgun is usually a bad idea. And every red blooded American needs an AR..

You need an AR like you need a man.

When you think about it, AR owners and Homosexuals have a lot in common. Both have an obsessive need to clean. Each cannot stand to get dirty. Both care more about appearance than most people. Both become highly irritated if not infuriated when someone questions their preference. They each feel the need to accessorize!

So if you like men, then the AR-15 is for you! But if you prefer women, stick with a rifle that will attract them. Such as an AK, FAL, CETME, G3 or clone, or other 7.62x39/.308 Winchester rifle. Trust me, women like the bigger bang.

:D

Meh, your assertion doesn't hold water, as I have ARs in both 7.62x39mm...

:D

(And, FTR, I like women in general... and my wife in particular. ;) )

3pairs12, the Barbie doll for men picture should have summarized your answer quite nice.

I in all honesty look at owning an AR-15 rifle as a gateway drug. Owning one could lead and induce an individual to the possible fate of a "Full Blown Chronic Tacticool Addiction".

:scrutiny:Think long and hard about your will power and self control before you step into the Realm of the Evil Black Rifle and its NeverEverEnding possibilities the platform offers!

Do you feel an obsessive need to clean? Do you buy many lubricants and oils? Do you own more than one kind of brush? Do you have more than one pair of colored sunglasses? Have you ever thought: "You can never have to many accessories"? Has your wife ever complained that you spend more time with your toys than with her?

If you answered yes to three or more of these questions, then I think you need to start being honest with yourself. It's okay. You were born this way right?

Actually, I don't know that I can honestly answer yes to any of those.

As to those AKs that "chicks dig" so much more than ARs... well, I have a few of those too (although not as many as my ARs).

You're just barking up the wrong tree for a date. So sorry. :neener:

Well that explains it Hardshell. Buying those AR's, you were just in an exploratory phase. Or maybe you were just vulnerable. As I'm sure many AR and AK owners were/are. :neener:

But I have to ask, that thing on the bottom left of that photo. What IS that?
