Dang. That remark made me curious - I trundled off to check - my last post on Bladeforums was in August... of 2006.
Anyhow, to the OP: you definitely want those HI products. If you haven't handled one yet get prepared for a "cost-to-weight" epiphany. Yangdu is pleasant to deal with as well. Hang out at the HI forum at Bladeforums and check the feeding frenzy when the YBBs are posted. Much more fun than using the virtual store.
I discovered that neglecting Bladeforums doesn't stop knives from showing up - it's easy to forget I'm in Spyderco's collectors club which causes knives to show up seemingly of their own accord although I forgot to sign up for the muleteam - somebody else can report on how that goes.
