If you have an axis lock, please do me a favor and see if you can hear a clicking sound as the knife opens and overcomes the pressure to open. After opening about twenty degrees, I can hear a click, happens again as the knife is closed. I'm not finding out much about this, please tell me if your knife makes the same noise. Thanks.

Mine does. You'll see that the click occurs as the axis slider reaches the end of its travel and reverses direction.

That's exactly where it's doing it! rbernie, do you know what this is from, and should I just not worry about it?

I've only had mine for four days now :) but in looking at the design I assume that it's just the nature of the beast, as the axis slider cams over the blade ramp and starts its return to a locked position.

I fully intend to not worry about it at all.

I never heard it either until someone else mentioned it on theirs also. Then I listened closely and heard it.

If you slightly loosen the pivot screw, when you hold back the lock the blade will swing out and back on it's own. Then there will be no click.

floorit76, so I understand you, when using the bar to open and close I don't hear the sound. It's only when using the thumb hole.
