Sure, more than one of each.
Besides being great teaching tools, they're fun!

I have several .22 rifles. As soon as NYS allows me to purchase a handgun I will get my SP101 and probably a Walther P22. .22 will be my bestest friend in the world for a good month or so, but I will remain strapped up with the .357 for CC and rely on my past handgun experience and classes.

I came to the gun culture a little late in life.

I mean, I shot .22s in boyscout camp. And having been shot at point blank range in my shoulder and neck when I was 14yrs old, I was in no hurry to involve myself with firearms.

Approaching 9/11, before it anyways, I sensed a change coming over myself with regards to self-defense, defense of loved ones and my views of freedom as an American, I realized I wanted a defensive firearm.

SO I guess I passed the .22 ideology that a lot of gun owners get to experience.

To me, kind of a useless caliber for what I am looking for. Maybe if I ever get to move back to a nice private piece of land in the sticks again, I will get one.

Yep, a Remmington Nylon 66. Sweetest little .22 made in my opinion. Four and half pounds, holds fourteen in the mag, and the accuracy is great. It's so light it can be fired one hand like a pistol, too.

That being said, once I get all of the personal defense stuff taken care of my next handgun purchase will be a Ruger Single Six.

Half of the weapons I own are some version of a .22

Marlin Mod 60
Savage MKII
Ruger 77 MKII .22WMR
Rem 700 in .223
WASR 3 in .223

Ruger Sandard
Ruger MK I,II,&III
Iver Johnson 109

They are all shooters.
^Gator makes us all jealous!

Let's just leave it as "several" . . . nothing turns an adult back into a kid like a .22 . . . the epitome of "fun with a trigger"/aka "time machine." My latest 10/22 build . . .

There are people that don't?

Should we, like... take up a collection and help these poor, unfortunate folk?

I own a few .22s. I have at least 7 rifles, 1 revolver, and two semi-auto pistols in 22 rimfire. Lots of inexpensive fun. Heck I need another couple of .22 pistols and revolvers.

I have a 22/45 and a 10/22. As far as the bubba .44 situation goes I had an interesting situation a few months ago. A guy I shoot with had invited a new shooter to join us. The new shooter works with me. Upon arriving at the range shooting buddy tried to hand new guy a .454 Raging Bull. I refused to allow him to shoot it working him through the 22/45 to a .38 to a 9mm and a .45. Then he insisted on shooting the .454. He was wishy washy on gun rights, he is now progun unfortunately he has not been back out with us because his wife is rabid anti gun and he is not willing to upset the maritial harmony. I guess I can't blame him for that but a loss of a new shooter, makes me sad.

I have a Ruger MK II and two bolt action rifles. I bought my wife a S&W Model 34, .22 snubby. I also have a Beretta Model 21. I carry it with Stingers in it.

The MK II is one of the few guns that I have that I would never consider selling or trading. To be honest, I would not really feel sorry for myself if all I had was the MK II loaded with Stingers for defense. I'd prefer my Model 10, of course...but I could make due with the MK II.

Just fired my new Savage Mk II rifle w/ peep sights for the first time today, actually (and lost the locking screw for the elevation adjustment, to boot...). Though we've had a 10/22 'in the family' that I had access to whenever I wanted, this is the first 22 I own myself. I'll probably look to pick up a Ruger Mk III and/or a Walther P22 target pistol sometime in the not too distant future....
