Oh, hell yes!

Not only are they cheap to own and fire, the best way to introduce non-shooters to the sport, easy on the wrist, shoulder and ears, accurate, great training, fascinating in their diversity, perfect for small game, etc., they are just so damn much fun.

After a recent serious session with the 10 and 45, I had to uncase the BuckMark to remind myself what fun this sport can be.

Honey, I think that CZ 452 22lr is calling my name...

Got a J.C.Riggins with a scope I got from my late father. I remember him letting me shoot it when I was a little kid. I'm now 57, it's been a few days.

Ruger Single Six with .22 LR and MAG cylinders.

I will get a 10/22 someday though.

Is there anyone who owns guns who does not?

Sadly.... I got my .22 early this year or late last year.

Marlin 60
Ruger New Model Single Six, still looking for where I put the MAG cylinder.

Both of which were handed down to me by my grandfather. The Marlin actually belonged to my great-grandfather, and was given to my grandfathre when he died.

Doesn't have to be a point to a poll. Take it or move on.

Thanks. That's nice to know. I'm sure we'll all keep that in mind. Me? I'm writing it down now.

I don't think it strange to start a thread/poll with no more than,
"Do you own a .22lr?"

But for the OP to follow that up with the first post comprised of nothing more than just that, "Do you own a .22lr? " I think is a bit off an odd way to begin.
Does it doesn't render the poll useless? No, but is there a reason for the poll? Are we to help the OP in a decision to buy one or not? Is the OP interested in finding out what percentage of HighRoaders are also .22 owners? Should the OP feel like the odd person out because they don't own one? Giving us a clue is asking too much? Heck, it might make it a bit more interesting.

Bloody hell..... there does not have to be a point, what happened to the "just for fun question"?

IMHO.... you can't have more fun than with a .22..... with you're cloths on that is.

Yes 2 10/22s right now and a planning to buy a conversion kit for one of my
.45s. They are cheap to shoot and good fun.

ruger 10/22
remington nylon 66
ruger single six
single shot (winchester?)

and I just sold a S&W 22A (piece of crap), and will soon be buying a high standard pump that accepts shorts, longs, and long rifles

Is there anyone who owns guns who does not?

*raises hand*

For the time being though. What do y'all think about semi-auto .22s and thunderbolt ammo? Im looking at getting a rifle but am torn between bolt action and semi-auto.

I have a few over here.

Great for staying in practice.

Great for teaching beginners.

Great for wasting time plinking at targets of opportunity.

Great for cheap fun.

I can't imagine not liking .22s.

It is only natural to own a 22 LR. Plinking is fun and if need be, it's good for small game too.
