Do you still have your first gun?

Not counting the pellet guns, yes I still have my first gun. A H&R 20ga. Which I have never shot. My father got me a H&R .410 immediately after test firing the 20 and realizing that it would have knocked me on my 6 year old rear end.

Need to take it out someday.

Raven MP25. Very reliable after adjusting the magazine

Mine sure as heck isn't reliable. It never was no matter what I did to it. It was very accurate at first though. But after the first time I took it apart to clean it I couldn't get it to hit the dirt pointing it straight down.

Naw. I traded my Ruger SR9c for a used Sig P232. I lost firepower and my 1st gun. Guess I don't regret it though. Only thing I regret was I gave up 5 magazines and a laser, and got 1 magazine for the Sig. What was I thinking?

1975 colt trooper 357

Still have it, bought some nice cocabola grips for it, also prior to that, some pachmyrs, but still have originals. It was my high school graduation gift. Interesting story on several levels. First, i had asked for a. Python. Now, my father was a first generation ( my grandfather immigrated from Sicily). Raised as he was, he really wanted to buy top of the line, but the immigrant upbringing always won out. For instance, he always wanted a S&W model 59,, but just couldnt spring for that price tag,, instead, he payed slightly less and bought 2 model 39's. So with that in mind, one day just prior to graduation, i go to the nearby RICH's department store( yes,,, back then, they had sporting goods AND FIREARMS!) and to my surprise, the Colt Python i went weekly to salivate over, had a "SOLD" tag on it and MY name under that!!
I kept quite and didnt let on that i was aware of my gift.
So graduation comes, get to opening gifts, and sure enough, there's a wrapped gift in the EXACT shape and size as a Colt Python box. I snicker to myself and save that package for last.
Trying to act nonchalant, i slowly , with little regard begin to unwrap my new PYTHON,,,,, only to discover my PYTHON is a TROOPER!! The immigration buy down bit me. I think i was able to keep my slight disappointment from showing, and years later, we laughed many times , once i revealed my story. But now, i wouldnt trade my Trooper for 100 pythons. It will go to my son with the story of my first firearm and graduation gift in tow.

No, 22 Browning, sold it after 60 years. I had no use for it and could put the money toward something that I could use. I bought my wife a Dining room set with it.

First rifle - bought new 10-22 from 1974? Nope, it sadly and foolishly was sold to finance my high school class ring... pitched over a highway only a month or so after receiving it.

First handgun - a righteous surplus 1911 bought when I joined the Army? Yup. I treated it and myself to a MEUSOC upgrade by the armorer at Pendleton back in that day.

Still my favored daily open carry.

Yes, I still have it: a .22 Ranger (Stevens mod. 29 A or B sold through Sears or Montgomery Wards) that was my grandfathers. I also have the Marlin Glenfield Model 60 .22 that I put on layaway with my Christmas gift money and paid off with my allowance over a couple of months at Woolworth Woolco when I was 12 - $49.00. I have only given up one gun: a 16ga. Mossberg bolt action shotgun. I gave it back to the uncle who gave it to me, his situation changed and he asked for it back.

I still have my first gun - a 12 gauge Remington 11-87 Premiere Light Contour I received for my 15th birthday from my parents. 20+ years later and she's still my go-to dove gun.

Never a single malfunction in all those years, either.

Cleaning it won't effect accuracy.

Also, almost all issues I've seen with Ravens are due to faulty mags causing jams or broken firing pins (dry firing these WILL inevitably break your FP).

Yes.
Ithaca Youth Model single shot 22. Must have been near 50 years ago my folks gave it me for birthday. 1st kill was a cotton tail that my grandmother fried up for me on their farm in East Texas - I can see it all crystal clear - good memories hunting and fishing with my grandfather at the farm.
