Do you want to get back at Bloomberg? Buy him an NRA membership.

I thought this was a great idea. Yankee Marshall put this up on January 1st calling on people to make a stand against Bloomberg and Everytown by giving money to the NRA. What I thought was interesting about it was he recommended getting Bloomberg a gift membership to the NRA. He included Bloomberg's address and instructions on how to go through the process.

It doesn't seem to be a very good idea. I think "childish and wasteful" was the best description given.

For one thing, Bloomberg probably has someone who through his mail so I doubt he even sees them.

For another thing, why not buy NRA memberships for people who will actually appreciate it? There are surely gun owners, shooters, or just like-minded folks you know that are not currently NRA members. Buy them a membership.

 

I agree with Warp; why waste money on such a meaningless prank when there are probably a lot of people you know who would get some use out of a gift membership to the NRA.

 

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he, or at least one of his minions, is already a member and subscribes to all the periodicals to better know his enemy.
