Does anybody know driv. time Memphis-Atlanta?

Although I've heard some vague estimates, a good estimate via Hwy 78 and Birmingham is appreciated. Have never driven east of BHM.

When I finish some initial tng. over there in February, it might be possible to visit a couple of gun shops with a good milsurp variety (SKS, FR8 etc) on the return trip if there is time. If not Anniston, maybe a regular shop near the route.

I always took I-20 and US-78. It's a well maintained route.
In Memphis, I always stayed at the Extended Stay on Sycamore View. Convenient to decent restaurants and the highway.

If you or anybody else makes it back to Syc. View/I-40, the very large scenic park (paved and long wooded trails) known as Shelby Farms is only 10 min. south from that, and two other nearby I-40 intersections.
