I think this is 8mm ammo? I found this and don't own anything that would eat it.
A magnet will stick to the bullet but not the case. The bullet is sort of silver colored instead of brass and the case is crimped. DSCN1120.jpg
1955 manufacture?

I am almost positive it is 8mmx57 mauser but is it A.P. or something? Does anyone know what the A A stands for if anything?

It is an 8mm mauser round, with some sort of cupronickel jacket. It is probably a heavy bullet in comparison to some 8mm loads, as cupronickel can foul badly at higher velocities.

The AA is probably the arsenal.

Thank you for the information. I don't know where I picked this ammo up but now I know what it is.

Yeesh, Ecuadorian 8mm. I picked up a bunch of that stuff back when I first got into shooting. It's frustrating ammo, at least the bat I got is. 1/10 required a double tap on the primer. Doubt it's my firing spring too (Been firing de-linked Yugo 8mm with no issues)
