Does anyone think the P365, could use a Backstrap Extension?

I have been shooting the 365 I bought, and I have a tough time getting a proper 2 handed grip on the gun because the grip is too narrow to get my weak hand on. I took out an old glock 19 gen 4, spare extension out of my gun stuff, and it gave the gun the extra little bit of width to be able to get a better grip on it.
of course I didn't stick it on there, but I emailed a couple of places like Taran Tactical , and suggested that maybe they could whip something up. It wouldn't make the gun too large at all, just give you enough room to get some meat on it. I thought about grip sleeves but they usually make the gun too big and make the grip too rounded for my taste, although on some guns they work. Anyone else have this problem with the gun?

I don't, but then my hands are most likely differently sized than yours

A tad thicker grip would be favorable for my bony hands.

That said, I found the one I rented to work just fine for me.

I personally had no problem with the grip, and I have a size large hand and long slender fingers. Wear a size Xtra large glove. The main grip felt very good and my finger came to the placement of the trigger nicely. The only thing about the gun I did not care for or did not make a perfect fit for me, was the limited space between the receiver and the grip for two handed shooting. Had to watch closely to not ride the slide. If the occasion arises to shoot again, I will. That was just my first impression. Some of the other shooters I was with felt the same way. No one had a problem or complaint with the grip.

No issues here. I thought I might shoot the extended 12 round mag better than the 10 rounder. but I don't.

Oddly the gun fits my grip better with one hand than with two, but the thickness of it is not the limiting factor so much as if it was a quarter inch taller, I would have a sure full grip, whereas right now it's a smidge tight.

I have XL sized fingers, no problems with my P365. That's what I enjoy about it's double stack mag, grip width is just right. I do shoot it a lot better with the 12rd mag though.

No issues with me. I have pretty large hands but it still fits comfortably. I don't have a 12 round mag yet, but soon.

It's still easier for me to shoot two-handed, but the grip feels way better with just one.

It's more than likely just my hand size. I fit into a Glock grip on either a 17 or 19 size far better. I can shoot the gun good enough to hit what I am aiming at, I just felt it could be better with a little more width, not depth but width. I favor the 26 over the 365. but i am carrying the Sig with the hope of getting more comfortable with it. I carried a Kahr PM9 for 8 years, and that was also not very wide even though overall it was smaller. But easier to get a 2 handed grip on. It's always going to be some sacrifice you make to carry these tiny 9's with large capacity mags.

I found the circumference of the grip on P365 just right. That said, I'm not trying to jam my support palm into the now non-existent gap between the thumb base and fingers of the strong hand. Maybe this bothers people who need the "proper" grip.

BTW, for my hands, the grip of P365 is too short, even with the pinkie extension. I consider it a necessary sacrifice for make it as small as it is.

Once again, everyone's hands are different.

Most XL gloves are too small for me, and the P-365 doesn't cover all of my fingers, but despite that I still shoot the 10 round mag very well. Comfortably as well. Most short grip guns do not agree with me.

The P365 fits me wonderfully, though of course ergonomics is quite subjective.

Now that Sig offers the P365 with a manual safety, it wouldn't surprise me if a new incarnation of the P365 is offered in the future (perhaps with replaceable backstraps).
