People will have a couple of beers before shooting trap, but I've never seen anyone overdo it.

ONE is overdoing it! What you have just described is a liability lawsuit waiting to happen, and when it does, your club will be no more...

I belonged at one time to (2) clubs that served alcohol. It was regulated with appropriate guidelines/rules for both organizations. One organization was sued in a lawsuit because the individual had been to the club and was served. The individual went on a drinking and killing spree later in the day. The lawyers for the insurance company advised the club to settle with the plaintiffs as the legal costs would have been more than the cost of the settlement. The Club which was sued has a 1200 senior membership limit and the most sought after for membership in the Western Pennsylvania area.

I would have serious issues if someone came into my little 10 lane range and sat in the lobby with a cooler...

I'd be less concerned with a larger club with a separate and distinct food-service area
