Done buying powder!

Yep many times I have loaded up the powder hopper on my loadmaster & after what felt like an hour or so I look up to see the hopper on the machine almost empty. Three pounds is not much.

Loading TiteGroup in 9mm, I would fill the hopper… and after an hour look up and there would be more powder in the hopper than when I started! Further, the level in the bottle never goes down… quite the opposite. I’m wondering if there isn’t some rabbit DNA in their powder recipe…

I think a 5 year supply is a good idea these days. When savings interest rates were down around 1%, I figured the money was better invested in powder and primers. Little did I know that they would more than double in value.

Recently, one of my friends said he might have TOO much powder on hand. He does have a lot but the future is still uncertain.

I didn't get the memo on Titegroup. I use it for 38's in a R92. I also use autocomp for the same. Unpopular powders that are on the shelf local are just fine for me. 10 mm works fine also.

I like 700X for my 45ACP loads and presently have 2 1/2 kegs of it left I am trying to use up LOL. I figure that the last 12K primer purchase I just did this summer to restock last years usage will keep me sitting pretty for 3-4 more years. Maybe
I figure when I croak that most of my 257 or so shooting and reloading buddys locally will give me a 257 gun black powder salute. That'll get everyones attention.:D

Quite! I poured about a half pound of the garbage in the flowerbed.
I had ONE loading experience loading .38 Spl. with TG.

That was all it took to say, “No mas.”

I am another member of the, “This is the last one, I swear!” group. Guns, ammo, reloading stuff, hand tools, campsite folding chairs, even motorcycle goggles…you name it, I have too many.

Stay safe.

I use TiteGrope exclusively for 9Mak now.

I'm pretty much done buying powder myself as well. In the "replace what you use" area, which is fairly infrequent based on my habits.

For N110 used in 357/44 Mag I'm looking at about 4-3/4lbs used per year so need a new 8lb jug about every 2 years.

N120/I4198 for all my rifle cartridges about 3lbs a year, so about the same but would be in surplus a couple lbs if I bought every 2 years on the dot.

I almost got another 8lb jug of N120 because Bruno's had a sale, but I took inventory and realized it really didn't need it. Between the N120 and I4198 I have I can last quite a while. No need to be "greedy" or panic buy, etc.

Besides, I'm supposed to be saving money at the moment so I had to flick the little devil off my shoulder, haha.
