"I canNOT believe that no one has mentioned Leslie Fish's Black Powder and Alcohol ("When the states and the cities fall/When your back's up against the wall...") or No High Ground ("Up to the dusty attic/Out comes the trusty gun/The law books and the lawyers only go so far...") or Here We Go A-Ramboing which I doubt I need to quote...
Actually, I think Fish would allow us to post the lyrics in entirity, if I only had them to hand... Nanaimo Barr? Hunter Rose? Riddle of Steel? Anyone, anyone, Buehler, Buehler...?"

Not sure about lyrics, have to check the filk group to see if the Fish has a blanket aprroval for posting them. In the meantime I found a site where she's allowed MP3s to be posted for a lot of her songs:

I dont think Queen's Bohemian Rasphody qualifies
I really don't think it is a firearm Freddy is singing about when he sang "Put My gun against his head, pulled My trigger now he's dead."
But I might be wrong (it has happened before)

Hi there! I thought Nanaimo did all the posting here! :D
I read "somewhere" that Fish had in fact given a blanket approval, but I'm holding off myself until I can be sure... I have lyrics for "Black Powder & Alcohol", and may have to dig out that old laptop (it's an 8088!:what: ) to see what, if any lyrics I have saved there...
Hey, Random Factors is releasing some of her older stuff on CD! http://www.random-factors.com/fish.htm
IN the meantime, folks, check out Joe Bethancourt as well--he and Leslie Fish are prodiucing an album of Pro-2A songs. The web site thanks "Dillon Precision for everything!"

Country Joe Macdonald has a string of interesting music, above and beyond his protest stuff. He's got a whole werbsite, it turns out, with ALL KINDS of interesting "stuff' on it, including some gun-related. Check it out.

One favorite is his soundtrack to the western-themed rock opera, "Zachariah". With Realplayer, link to We're the Crackers, courtesy of Country Joe's Jukebox.

"You're not gonna shoot the piano player, are ya?" ;)

And I think the Soprano's theme is done by an obscure new group called the Alabama3, or A3, which has some very interesting music out, an album called "Exile on Coldharbour Lane", amongst others...
