Ok, saw the PagerPal story and had to share. I ordered an Ultra-Hyde holster from this site on July 31st of this year:

www.hideyourgun.com

Now, in the FAQ's, it says to allow 3-5 days for assembly and 2-7 days for shipping (depending on shipping service they use, based on location). It is now October 17th, and I still don't have my holster. I've sent half a dozen or so emails and gotten absolutely no response, even to my last request to send my holster or refund my money. In fairness, their site did say that they would not be operating during September, but one would think a July 31st order is far enough in advance of September for this not to be an issue. It is now well after September. I'm going to contact the credit card company and see if anything can be done, but otherwise I'll just write it off to experience. Anyone else had experience with the above site, good or bad?

Hyder Holsters - thieves!

David Hyder of Ultra-Hyde holsters is a thief. I purchased a holster from him over a year ago. Several months later I sent him some feedback about the design. Even though I really didn't expect him to do anything since I had already had it for several months (never really used it), he wanted me to be "100% satisfied." He told me to mail the holster back to him (to a California address even though it was shipped from a Florida address - I guess he moved his operations.) After acknowledging that he received the holster, he then kept stalling about when it would be ready. He finally quit responding to my emails altogether His website conveniently has no phone number to call. So basically I paid for the holster, sent it back for modification and never got it back. I reported him to the Better Business Bureau in both California and Florida. They got no response from him either.

I'll say it again, the guy is a thief, buy a SmartCarry instead.

To Snap (original poster) - that website hasn't been updated in ages. The September downtime that's mentioned was posted there in 2005, so it's been over a year since it's been updated.
