C&S merely offer FN parts as an aftermarket item. FN developed it, came up with version for DA triggered pistols that Daewoo bought, and got copied by HK in the mechanism of the USP LEM.

The SFS doesn't change the way you use an HP much, but lowers the potential energy of the hammer, if that's an issue for you.
