While I was cruising the internet looking for purveyors of fine ammunition, I came across the Double-tap website. I had never paid much attention to Double-Tap, because I lack a 10mm, and didn't know they made other calibers of ammuniton.

Needless to say, after looking at the ballistics Double-Tap quoted, I may just have to get myself a 10mm. Double-Tap's loads look like they are about 30-50% stronger than I remember Winchesters or Federals loads being. Mighty impressive.

The only load that confused me is their 230gr 'Equalizer' load. It's a 135gr JHP bullet, with a 95gr ball loaded behind it. I mean, with all their other effective 10mm loads, I guess I'm just missing the point behind the 'Equalizer' load, other than it's 'Neato' factor.

I bought 2 boxes and would not be afraid to use it as CC ammo...I load 2 120gr. .433 lead balls in a 44 mag with 7.5-8 gr. of Unique and it is really a fun load, 2 holes instead of 1 and I would not be afraid to use this one also in SD..........but I will probably carry the DT 165 gr. Gold Dots in my 10MM compact in the winter..........

I haven't shot any of their 10mm ammo, but their .45 ACP and .357 Mag load are smokin!
