Double Tap Ammo

What do you think about the G20 loaded with Double Tap 200's or 230's as a sidearm in bear country in the lower 48?
the 200 is a hornaday XTP or hardcast either would be marginal at best.the 230 is a gimick load with a round ball and a 135 nosler jhp I would not recomend this for bears or anything else really.

According to DT's website, the bullets are as follows:

10mm 200gr WFNGC Beartooth
10mm 230gr. WFNGC Hardcast

To be precise, these are the loadings I am talking about.

DT is great ammo. I bought 1000 rounds of 180gr ammo as a self defense stash.

I was hiking in Montana in August. I carried a Glock 29 loaded with DT's 200gr WFNGC hard cast. I believe they are good for black bears.

I have that setup now as I'm in a National Forest southwest of Lake Tahoe. I top off one magazine with DT's hard cast and have the other mag with DT's 180gr Gold Dots for when I leave the forest.

Recoil is not harsh. It pushes from my Glock, similar to high performance .45 ACP ammo from my 1911.

I have a couple of boxes of Buffalo Bore's 340gr .44 Mag ammo if I think I might encounter something bigger that might try to eat me. They produce 1481 ft-lb of energy from my Ruger Redhawk.
