It's still a Knife Works exclusive - https://www.knifeworks.com/kw-exclusives/rskmk1g2.html. It's still being made in the USA, but it's now manufactured by Hogue. The blade steel is still M390, but the handle has been upgraded to 3D machined G10. It's quite a bit of knife for $153.

Everyone's heard of Hogue because of their grips, how are their knives compared to Benchmade, Emerson, ZT, Al Mar and others?

I've seen Hogue knives at one gunshop that I go to quite a bit. Never asked to see one though and no one that I know owns one of their knives. Lots of their grips, no knives.

    Specs look good.

Al Mar is grossly overpriced for what you get. ZT built better Emersons than Emerson. Having not owned a Hogue knife, but having handled quite a few, my very limited experience is that they're better than Benchmade. They're on par with ZT, if not slightly better, again in my very limited experience. I'm sure @hso will chime in soon with a more knowledgeable opinion.

Very happy day for me, as I gave my Dad the old Benchmade version I was carrying in my pocket while visiting two years ago. I really missed that knife and now I can get an upgrade! The blade is just about perfect for my needs and I used it for everything including kitchen duties.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Looks like a lot of knife for the money.
