Draft of e-mail concering H.R. 1022

I am writing to inform you about Carolyn McCarthy's H.R. 1022. I and many others disagree with this legislation. Restrictions on the second amendment such as these are unconstitutional and unnecessary.


just one guy trying to do his part what do you guys think about it.

i don't know i have never been a good writer. also i am young so i am not sure who to send this too. i am from Michigan.

As far as the letter goes, I usually start with a statement like you have. Then I follow with a call for action, like "I urge you to do everything in your power to defeat this bill" etc. Then I usually add something to try and get a response from them with their feelings on the bill in question, like "I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this matter" etc.

I would write to mine but I suspect it would actually be counter productive. If I write them it might alert them to it and cause them to co-sponsor it if they can.
