DSA AR 15 Upper

I've owned two, a nitride 5.56 and a stainless 300BLK, both 16" carbine setups. I've been very happy with the quality of the bare uppers - good barrels, good assembly, the receiver seems well machined, etc. All the other components I'm using with them come from other companies (BCM or LMT bolt carrier group, charging handle, etc.). I'll note that they use straight pins instead of taper pins on the FSB (adequate but not milspec) and the gas port seems large on the 5.56, but I'm quite happy with them for what I paid.

I picked up a 300BLK stainless upper from them this year. I had to send the first one back for replacement due to an issue with the crown, but the replacement, which came within a week, was very good. Zero problems with fit and function and a very good value for the price.

Really the only thing that would make me reticent to order from them again is the amount of time it took from order to first delivery (100+ days) and the lack of accurate info from their customer service (multiple times) as to when the product would actually be shipped. I was told "two weeks" at least 4 different times during a 3 month period. Please note that although they put a short term "hold charge" on my CC at time of order, my CC was not actually billed until the actual shipping date.

Some folks saw shorter wait times on their order, but this was mine. If you aren't in a rush, DSA provides a lot of "bang for the buck". Just be aware that it may take a while for things to show up.

I've had similar experiences with wait times. Recommendation - call in your order. DSA staff are very pleasant and helpful on the phone, in my experience. Their website provides no stock information and a website order seemingly gets printed and placed on a desk somewhere to ferment.
