DSA FAL para scope mount?

Picked up a DSA Para FAL scope mount a while back and am now looking at a regular STG58 FAL. Will the Para scope mount work with the regular rifle? Couldn't think of any reasons it wouldn't but figured I would ask and see if I was missing something.

You can try it but DSA sells one for the PARA and one for the fixed stock so there may be a reason...

I just bought an SA58 PARA that comes with the PARA ED scope mount shown below. According to DSA it "fits all in spec FAL receivers, both metric and inch patterns" (see text underlined in red).

The Para mount has extra parts (recoil spring guide, etc), costs more to make, costs more to buy. That alone would explain stocking multiple types.

You may have to remove the spring guide from the Para dustcover to use it with a standard rifle.

Just remove the guide pin and it can be used on a regular stock FAL.

I am 100% positive as it's what I have.
