Howdy, folks. Scopes are completely Alien to me. A while back, my Uncle gave me a very expensive scope as a gift. It mounts to Picatinny rails, but I have no weapon to attach it to. I have an old JC Higgins 103 .22 cal single shot rifle and I think that will be my platform for the time being (I won't be in the market for a new rifle until May). The problem is I don't know about scopes. How do I put a Picatinny rail on my rifleto mount this scope? What kind of hardware do I need? Is there a certain make/model of rail that I have to get?

If your rifle has the 3/8" dovetail common to .22 rifles and airguns, you could get one of these or these to mount your new scope.
