Visited the Eagle Arms show at the Rt. 309 Roadway Inn today. At 1030 hrs, (show started at 0900) a 2-4 wide line extended from the showroom across the parking lot to Bulldog Ave. Parked vehicles lined Bulldog Ave from its beginning to the show site and all nearby streets were parked full. In the over ten years' I've attended this venue hosting multiple shows annually, I've never seen this sort of crowd ! In a brief conversation with an acquaintance that arrived before the 9 a.m opening, he reported the place was packed !
Seems the gun show business - as well as the gun makers' - is benefitting from the hoplophobes' paranoia !
And if the attendance at this relatively small show is any indicator of what's happening across "flyover country", I look for the Obama Administration to mobilize some serious regulatory/political and enforcement efforts to intimidate attendance. >MW
