I am looking at getting an Ed Brown Kobra Karry or Elite carry, anyone have any experience with them? How do they shoot, opinions?

I almost got the Kobra Carry, but went for another project. If I get another EB, I believe it will be the Exec. Carry. It is just a matter of taste. I don't like the scales as much as I thought I did.

Function from what I read is flawless. I am sure others will post pictures and high claims. Ed Brown is an aclaimed 1911 high end manufacturer.

Just to illustrate the point Dobe made, I like the fishscales on the Kobra Carry and had a full size 1911 made to feel like one. I think Dobe will agree that it's worth holding both Ed Brown versions to see which feels better to you.

The gun itself is a delight. The only problem I've had with it turned out to be a failed slidestop that began causing problems after umpteen thousand rounds. When I replaced the slidestop the problems went away. It's a splendid carry gun and a wonderful shooter.

I held the Kobra carry at a Cabela's, I did like the scales, but they didn't have any Elite Carrys, I'm sure they feel good as well even though they're $100+ more than the Kobra. Its going to be my present to myself for finishing grad school.
