Anyone have any experience with Edwards Recoil Reducers?

Premise behind them is a piston (weight) in the center of two springs the front spring is lighter spring weight than the rear spring. After taking out the wood that is bored out of the buttstock (7/8" D hole) of 3", 3.5" or 4" length one is left with an additional weight of about 5oz. with recoil mitigating properties of the piston and spring setup. The extra 5oz would help balance the rifle as well, which is a plus for my desires as this would be a standing shot supported or unsupported, or shooting stick affair type of hunting.

I'm not recoil sensitive, but am currently considering a Ruger No.1 in 375 Ruger and wondered about these as it wouldn't change the aesthetics of the rifle like counterboring a muzzle brake which I won't do to a No.1. Would like to make this as pleasant a shooter as possible even with full pressure loads. If I did this, I would also install as Limbsaver or other gring to fit pad. Also, want this rifle to age with me, and as I get older don't want to shy away from it due to recoil.

There are others that use encased mercury, but have read that the Edwards works better and don't have to deal with a hazardous material if traveling with the firearm.
