Extremely positive on several pieces of leather, including the 1940 rig they built for me.
Two things:
They will charge your card up front (since they do custom work on order they don't give you the option of backing out of your order or otherwise default when it's done by not paying for it), and it'll take a while.
Their stuff doesn't come from stock when you order from them, it's made just for you.
That 1940 is one solid piece of workmanship, by the way, fully equal in construction quality to any military version issued.
I had USAF stamped on mine, instead of US, and got the leather dress belt & matching mag pouch for it.
I heartily recommend EPS.

No experience specific to the holster in question but I have several rigs and accessories from El Paso Saddlery. Products and customer service are top notch. Well worth the wait and contrary to popular belief, their prices are competitive with off-the-shelf makers like Bianchi or Galco but IMHO, the product is better.
Howdy Slater, I had them make a custom CAS period correct moneybelt, with cartridge loops around the whole thing and a slim jim holster with a toe plug. They do great work. Only problem I had with them was it took them a little longer to make the rig than they said it would.
El Paso Saddlery takes a little time to get things made, but the wait is very much worth it! The only person who can match them for Old West pieces would be Rick Bachman of Old West Reproductions. Both will gladly do custom work, and the degree of customer service each delivers is unreal.

They made a shoulder rig for me..To carry my 41 mag.... Top of the line work, I was pleased...

Their holsters are great. I have several for single action revolvers and semi auto pistols and there is no way I'll live long enough to wear them out. I hear they made holsters for Patton and John Wesley Hardin. Pretty good customer base.

My experience with them was in the late 70's, early 80's. Top drawer, and at that time a true custom cost little more than "stock" items and was certainly worth the difference and the wait. I had crossdraws for a bobbed 4" Python and a modified Gold Cup, and two single action holsters that were stock items. Wish I had them all back (and the guns to go with them).
If you see something in their line that you almost like, by all means call and talk to them. If they're the same as they were back then, they really have a grasp of the little tweaks and details that make a holster personal.

I have owned a number of El Paso Saddlery holsters and belts.
Thick heavy leather, solid fasteners, well sewed, top notch fit and finish.
And I love the smell of one of their new holsters.
They used to claim that the original Myers "El Paso Saddlery" stamp die was used on the holsters. I wonder if that die has worn out.
