Wish you could be here. Threw in some elk, taters, carrots, onions, corn, added a little cabbage, garlic salt, pepper and my secret seasoning, crock potted it since 7:00 this morning. WOW, I'm a great cook! Gonna have to freeze most of it, looks like enough for 12-14 servings and I'm a big eater!:D I forgot, in keeping with the forum rules, the elk was killed with a firearm.:)

You know, if you froze it and packed it in dry ice and sent it overnight UPS it would probably still be good by the time it got to me. Need my address?

Moving to Hunting forum, as it seems more appropriate there.

I just did the same thing with Venison. I cut up a roast into cubes threw in some potatoes, a bay leaf, and some Bisto gravy mix. No vegatables just meat and potatoes! cooked it in the over for 3 hours. That venison just melted in my mouth.

To keep with thew forum rules:

I shot the deer with a Mossberg 500 Trophy using Remington Copper Solids. With a Simmons 2x Shotgun scope.

Grilled up some elk steak fajitas for the super bowl party. They went pretty fast!

PS - Elk done in with a 165 gr Sierra SPBT GameKing (to keep with forum rules;) )
