Just had to comment - tried out an Emerson (didn't note the model) and have to concur with the owners. That sucker was the fastest knife out of the pocket to lock that I've ever seen. Too bad they are so high dollar.

I do like that Wave option, though I'm not going to use it alot (saw Tamara's shredded pockets).

A co-worker asked to use my knife today, and he was awed at the fact that I "opened it before I drew it". :p

Yep, she mentioned that. I can see it being a problem. Then again, it could have been Random Numbers............ :what:

Its weird... I've carried a Waved Emerson for coming up on three years now, and havent frayed a pocket yet.
I've had knives with exceptionally tight clips, in combination with rough textured scales, that ate pockets, but not a wave.

    Am I just lucky?

    High dollar???

You can pick up a new Commander for about $125 if you shop hard. Thats a bargain for the quality and the speeeeed!!
Haven't met any guy with an auto who can beat the Waved emerson's. Plus they're legal whereas a "switchblade" in most states is not. Get one, carry one and you'll never go back.

Give us some ideas on where to shop ?

I just bought an Emerson, but it wasn't a WAVE model. I got it at wholesale from a dealer friend of mine. I was going to wait until his next order for a WAVE, but who knows when that will be.

Botach Tactical has good prices on Emerson knives, just make sure its In Stock before you order... they have a bad habit of not delivering items that arent in stock, but processing the order. In Stock items, never heard of anyone having a problem getting 'em.

Otherwise, try www.1sks.com and www.tadgear.com they have the average net prices (which are good prices still) for Emerson stuff.

Or look on Blade Forums in the for sale forums, can find good deals there.

    Where do I find them?
Most of the commamders I have purchased were from gun shows.
I paid an average of $125 between all four. I just saw one on a board somewhere for $120. I'm trying to backtrack and find it again for you guys. Heres another deal that i cant believe nobodys snapped up yet.

    Emerson at Auction...

The last bidder on that very used EKI Commander won the bid at $72.-$76.00 range.I know 'cause I was looking for one at the time.Too many nice slightly used ones on different knife forums to mess around in a bidding war for a clunker.Just My 2 cents.tom.
