Just completed training at Arkansas Armory in North Little Rock (Sherwood) for my Enhanced CHC license. Excellent training there, and very impressive store and indoor range. Well run, family-owned location; one of the owners, Nathan, taught the classroom today, and took care of my required range qualification.

I heartily recommend them if you need training in basic or enhanced. Hope to use them for other training in the future.

Follow-up:
I completed training on Saturday, April 13. My new enhanced CHCL arrived in the mail on Friday, April 26. That's less than two weeks for the wait.
I learned one reason for the speed is that Arkansas Armory delivers all of the E-CHCL applications for their succesfil students, fully organized and notarized, directly to the State Police Headquarters, instead of just mailing them in.
Great service!

Thanks for letting me know, have relatives in Arkansas and am a former resident.

For the first time, early this year, I renewed my standard carry permit by internet and then used Arkansas Armory to do the re-qualification portion. They faxed in their portion of the requirements and ten days later I had my new permit. Best experience I've had with permit renewals here in Arkansas. I don't know how much to credit either Arkansas Armory or the efficiency of the State Police. I saw a thread on another forum about renewal times around when I renewed and others were having terrible waits using the same method but through different instructors so I have to give some of the good luck credit to them.

"Enhanced" in what way? Just wond'ring. :)
In 2017 Arkansas passed a law that with additional training a Concealed Handgun Carry License (CHCL) holder can carry onto public college and university campuses, into state government offices, and into restaurants that serve alcohol. The basic CHCL does not allow for any of those. We first have to obtain the basic CHCL, then take the added training (both range fire and classroom) to get the ENHANCED word added to our CHCL.

BTW, even though Ark recognizes all other CHCL or CCW documents, only an Ark CHCL can be enhanced; if you come in with a CCW from out of state, you have the same privileges as an Ark basic CHCL, even if your state's is somehow enhanced, like Mississippi's.

I'd be interested in learning about the Mississippi equivalent.

Craig_VA has pretty well nailed the Enhanced CHCL in Arkansas down. As for Arkansas Armory, IMHO, it's the most expensive, but also the nicest indoor range in central AR. It also recently became a Blue Label dealer. So now there's some competition, because there was only one in the area for a long time.
