My god..... I am going crazy with the Bersa talk... It is always Bersa bersa bersa around here....

I just bought my latest 1911 this week (a beautiful Dan Wesson .45), and now I am sitting here wondering two things:

A.) where I am going to find the scratch to go out and get a Bersa .380

B.) how am I going to hide it from the wife when I do

Just out of curiosity, based on all of the chatter on here about the almighty Bersa, how many of you either have one or are planning on the Bersa being thier next purchase?

You can count me as a next one I am going to purchase...

I guess that if you are going to have an addiciton, the 200.00 dollar variety is much better the then the HK or the Sig Virus... That will cost you 600 to over a 1000 a pop...

Granted I have a sig, and I love my sig, but i know darn well that I cannot support a sig habit....

I have a much better chance of satisfying my Bersa fix.....

    20.00 a week for 11 weeks = a Bersa Thunder .380 in two tone....

    That is my plan....

I haven't had the urge to purchase multiple Bersas, so I don't think I'm addicted to buying them. I may becoming addicted to shooting them though. I want to get out and shoot the one I have all the time.

Don't have one or want one. However, I don't think it's right, for any of us, to refuse to help a shooter based on his firearm. That's why forums exist.

I have no opinion at all regarding the Bersa!!
How many of you share that view???

    Couldn't vote.

No box for "They're fine pistols, but just don't interest me at all."

For two hundred, might get one and probably will. Just can't get my jeans to rise about them.

Have one, love it. But then again I haven't met too many pistols that I don't love. Why just the other day a new Springfield Mil-Spec followed me home.... I figure if you collect enough of them the wifey can't keep up with what's been in the safe and what's just coming through the door for the first time. :)

I don'y have one currently. Almost bought one years ago but went with a Ruger SP101 instead. I believe my brother has a clone on one though. I may own one someday but not likely to be anytime soon. Actually, as I'm not big on .380's, I'll likely not buy one unless it's a hell of a good deal. Just don't really need one.

Your plan sounds like a good one, Crazy. It is more or less the same one my wife uses with shoes and it works for her.

Regarding the people who are voting for option four, I have to respect people whose opinions come from practical experience. It reminds me of a line from an old Hank Williams Jr. song: "You're the only one who you are [insert euphemism for the coital act] when you put down what you don't understand."

For about $200 its inevitable that I'll get one eventually at the next gun show where I don't find anything better at a price I like. Had a very good run of luck at the shows this past year so no Bersa for me so far.

I may go for the "Thunder" 9 or 45 instead, since I'm not a big fan of .380 and 9mm is cheapest to shoot.

    --wally.

Edit: didn't vote in the poll because "would consider buying one" is not a choice.
the other options aren't true for me, and buying one is not a priority for me.

At the last gun show I attended Bersa Thunder 380s were running in the $240-$275 range so I went and bought a brand new one from Gander Mountain for $194 (regular price $219, but they took $25 off because of two small scratches on the slide).

I'm heading out the door to run another 200-300 rounds through the little booger. You all should shut down your computers, get out and do some shooting. It's Saturday.

Curious to know why 7 people voted that they are POS. Is it based on experience or personal opinion?

I only have three (.22, .32, .380) but they have all been good performers with no problems.
